Complementary and alternative medicines (CAMs) and therapies are often regarded as "natural" and, therefore, harmless. However, for the the vast majority of CAMs no formal testing or adverse event reporting mechanisms are in place. A study published in Archives of Disease in Childhood studied adverse effects associated with CAMs.

First baby delivered at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The first baby to be delivered at Great Ormond Street Hospital was born safely whilst his sister was an inpatient at the hospital.

Great Ormond Street Hospital is one of the most prestigious children's hospitals. However, it does not have a maternity unit and no baby has been delivered there in its 157 year history. Zac was born during a visit to the hospital by his mother. Zac's sister Kelly was a inpatient at the hospital receiving treatment for Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
