NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence) publish Clinical Guideline Number 84 - "Diarrhoea and vomiting in children".
Diarrhoea and vomiting caused by gastroenteritis is an extremely common condition seen in paediatric practice. Approximately 10% of children younger than 5 years present to healthcare services with gastroenteritis each year so this new guideline is likely to prove useful.
