Stable Family Relationships Associated with Later Onset of Puberty
Ellis and Essex have published data that suggests that girls brought up in a family with higher quality "investment" from their parents and lower reported parental conflict have later onset puberty. This study is published in Child Development. The age of onset of puberty (especially in girls) has been over the last 50 years and is associated with other factors such as BMI (body mass index).
