Welcome to the paediatric guideline section.

This section lists some of the best available guidelines in paediatric practice. Please note that although all of these guidelines contain material regarding paediatric practice some also contain information for an adult population. Please click on the links below to access the guidelines.

What is a Clinical Guideline?

These are documents produced in a systematic manner to assist medical professionals diagnose and manage certain conditions. They are often based on "expert opinion / consensus” although many bodies are attempting to produce evidence-based guidelines. They are only "guides" and your approach should always be considered on a case-by-case basis.
