BUY NOW | | Paediatrics (Crash Course), Pang D, Newson T The paediatric textbook from the Crash Course Series. This book manages to keep information "bit-sized" for easy retention (perfect for last minute cramming that is not to be recommended but frequently done!) The book is split into sections. The first tackles conditions using a symptom based approach. The second takes a disease and system based approach. There is a section on history taking and investigations and finally a small self-assessment section. Approx £20. BUY NOW | | Clinical Paediatrics and Child Health, Candy D, Davies G, Ross E This textbook will feel very familiar to many, as it is produced in the same style as Clinical Medicine by Kumar and Clarke. Split into two parts looking at paediatrics first from a symptom and developmental point of view and then secondly from a system-based / disorder orientated point of view. Another excellent, well rounded textbook aimed at undergraduates. Approx £33. BUY NOW | | Concise Paediatrics, Sidwell R and Thomson M. This book is aimed more towards candidates for MRCPCH. However, it is comprehensive and covers a very wide range of conditions and basic physiology without any extraneous material - just the facts! It is less lavishly illustrated than many other textbooks and without colour photgraphs but the diagrams and algorithms are carefully selected to reinforce the text. Would suit those having further paediatric study, e.g. an elective in paediatrics. Approx £42. BUY NOW | |
