Autistic Spectrum Disorders may be more common than previously thought.

A recent publication in The Lancet by a group from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London, UK suggests that the total prevalence of all types of ASD in the child population of the UK is around 1%. This is much higher than previous studies have suggested.
